Addie will be greatly missed. Addie's smile would light up any room and her sassy personality and strength was one of a kind and will be forever missed. The love she had for her husband, sons, grandchildren and family was immeasurable. Addie loved crafts and sewing, in her spare time you could find her making something beautiful. She was a very talented seamstress, anything she created was beautiful. She loved to help others whether it was a thoughtful gift or card or just making time to talk, you could always count on her. Addie spent 30+ years in education helping and mentoring the special education students, this was truly her passion. This speaks volumes of her character as a person, she loved to help the unfortunate and underprivileged children. She loved to travel with her husband and through the years they seen some amazing places. Over the last several months Addie loved to watch sewing videos and card making videos.
The tragic accident that occurred January 25th, 2024 ultimately took Addie's life. Every time we thought she was going to be ok there was another hurdle that came up. With all the massive medications she received she was told she was in liver failure in May. We were hopeful she would be able to receive a liver transplant but s=due to other complications that did not happen. The battle was real pretty much daily, she fought so hard. The only comfort her family has is she is no longer in pain. Her life was cut way to short. She will be forever missed and in our hearts forever.
Special Thank You to the ladies from Peach Creek Baptist church that came and sat with Addie, (Barbara Gill and Tina) and Joy Copley a family friend. There are not enough words or Thank You's for your selfless acts of love and kindness. We are forever grateful to you 3 ladies.
Addie's favorite bible quote was John 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
