Alicia Escamilla, 68, was born February 11, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas and passed away on January 17, 2024 in Porter, Texas. Alicia is preceded in death by her parents Joseangel Herrera Jr. & Teresa Cardenas, daughter Christina Escamilla and siblings Rachel Herrera Garcia, Elsa Frazier, and Andres Jaime Herrera.
Alicia is survived by her daughter Francesca and husband Larry Bain, three grandchildren Brian Ramirez, Makayla Bain, Larry Bain Jr., as well as three brothers, one sister, numerous nieces/nephews, and a host of friends.
Alicia attended McCollum High School and graduated class of ‘73. She went on to get her associates degree later in life after spending many wonderful years as a devoted mother and homemaker, volunteering and participating in all elementary school related activities including the PTA, being a Girl Scout troop leader and eventually a Cub Scout troop leader for her grandsons. She enjoyed many creative hobbies including sketching, painting, sewing, crafting, and writing poetry. She liked to read murder mystery crime fiction and loved baking cookies at Christmas. Alicia was quick to laugh and easy to talk to, extremely understanding, gave great advice and adopted many friends as family, treating them as her own. She was always willing to give more than she ever asked for and was an amazing picture of strength and unconditional love to her family. Her loss is a great one to all who knew her.
