Gerald David Longhurst

Gerald (Jerry) David Longhurst (86) was born July 15, 1938, in Lansing, Michigan and passed away on February 8, 2025, in New Caney, Texas. He is preceded by his daughter Karen Fatur, parents Walter James Longhurst & Esther Lorene Mitchell, and brother Danny Longhurst.

Jerry is survived by his wife Carol Gay Longhurst of 65 years of marriage, son Scott Longhurst & Justine, daughter Sherri Treptau & husband Mike, son in law Richard Fatur, sister Suzie Fournier & husband William, sisters-in-law Sandy Longhurst, Polly Allen, grandchildren Sara Roberts & husband Jeffery, David Fatur, Lauren Longhurst, James Longhurst & wife Kara, Christopher Treptau & wife Reba, Matthew Treptau & wife Artiss, Kayli Roach & husband James, and great-grandchildren Mekenzi Koch, James Longhurst Jr., Brooks Longhurst, Atley Fatur, William Roach, Michaela Roach, Jack Roberts, Ivy Roberts, Ryder Longhurst-Scheibe and one on the way. 

Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was also a car guy who loved working on cars in his younger years. He built a dune buggy that the family enjoyed for many years on the sand dunes at Silver Lake, Mi, along with camping, boating and jet skiing. Other interests were golf, NASCAR, and watching football.
