He passed away on March 28, 2021 in Splendora, Texas.He is preceded in death by his parents, James A. Slater Sr and Ilene Johnson. James is survived by his wife, Linda Slater of 60 years of marriage. Daughters; Cindy Danielson, Angela Walters, and Sharon Fitzgerald. Grandchildren; Rainie, Alex, Kely, Kristopher, Anna, Abbie, and Ashley. Great grandchildren; Iris, Trinity, Dahlyla, Scarlett, Alice, Micheal, William, and Bowie. A private service will be held by the family.
