James Michael Welsh

A much -loved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, James Welsh 65 Humble, Texas passed away Saturday afternoon March 1st at Ben Taub Hospital with his loving family and friends at his bedside. James was born August 9th, 1959, in Youngstown, Ohio a son of James and Catherine (Manion) Welsh. James graduated from Austintown Fitch High School. He was a retired Police officer. James devoted his life taking care of his children and grandchildren. He loved walking his dogs Bear and LuLu and feeding the ducks. His hobbies were collecting knives and playing chess. His wife Michelle Acconcia whom he married June 23, 1979, passed away August 31, 2021.James leaves two sons James Jr. (Michelle), Jason (Sarah): two grandsons Gabriel, Dakota: three granddaughters Addisyn, Sophie, Pheobe Welsh: one great Granddaughter Llianna Welsh and one sister Catherine Welsh-Jakubek (Bill) of Youngstown, Ohio, one brother and excellent friend Tom Johnson. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Ben Taub hospital Cardiology and Neurology. The family also would like to give special thanks to the EMS South Lake Houston and Anthony from Shell gas station for do CPR. A private cremation will be held.
