In memory of my dad, from 1 of the 5 children between Jim and Elaine:Jim, in typical restless fashion, has slipped off to a new location, allegedly around noon, 1/15/20.He has been preceded in death by a few kidney stones, a couple of teeth, a 2-story house he built in the Hollow, LR’s Lawnmower Shop, a grand greenhouse, Missy, Shalom, Klinken, Papa Gallo, a goldfish pond, a favorite Dogwood, Fig tree, orchard, 2 special friends Jerome and Smitty, his 1st son, Damon, the beautiful bride of his youth, Elaine, Siblings Louis and Dana, his mother and father, and a grandson, Dustin. (For more details & unique perspectives see other family obits posted by others.) One of the biggest challenges he learned to appreciate as he matured was the training he received to become a Marine at the ebb of the Korean war. The training served him well later in life; he worked hard, rose early, and pushed his mind and body to move forward through various trials. OORAH! Like most of us, he certainly appreciated food, plants, $$, and flowers, but rather than donating any of those please consider sharing your memories and pictures via email GoenVocal@kc.rr.com; all will be compiled for a celebration of life that will happen – Jim style…. eventually. The gathering should be a reunion of sorts for neighbors, family, and friends. – Loving on My Dad, kel
