Karen Tobias

Karen K. Tobias (83) was born October 11, 1941 in Reading, Pennsylvania and passed away December 25, 2024 in New Caney, Texas. She is preceded by her parents William I. Koch & Catharine Balthaser. 

Karen is survived by her son Steven Yerger & wife Carol, brother William G. Koch & wife Robin, and grandchildren Elizabeth & Caroline Yerger. 

Karen enjoyed a long and successful career as a Registered Nurse in the Nursery unit at Reading Hospital in Reading, PA and was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church in Sinking Spring, PA. She was a big sports fan, especially of her hometown Wilson Bulldogs in West Lawn, PA as well as her beloved Penn State Nittany Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. 

Karen was also an avid cook who loved her country and cherished the time spent with her friends and loving family. She will be dearly missed by all of those who knew her.
