Lester "Buddy" Smith

11/02/1957 ~ 10/24/2021Buddy Smith, age 63, was born on November 2, 1957 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He left this life on October 24,2021 after a hard-fought battle to Pulmonary Fibrosis. Buddy was a one-of-a-kind person that touched so many lives by his love for people. Anyone who ever met him walked away feeling as if they had known him forever. His love for his family and friends left a legacy to be long remembered.He is survived by his wife Carolyn of 40 years, and his sons Kevin Adkins and wife Tracey and Caleb Smith and wife Nichole.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren Spencer, Samuel, and Simon Adkins and Landen, Lorelai, and Linley Smith. He is also survived by sisters Gayle Joslin, Karen Brown, Lola Gray, and stepsister Marion Threatt.He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Smith and Merlene Thompson Smith, his sister Connie Glover and stepsister Sheila Mays.A viewing will be held on Thursday October 28, 2021 from 5-8 pm in the Rios Funeral Directors Chapel located on loop 494 in New Caney, TX.Funeral service will be held on October 29th at 11:00 am at Humble First Assembly of God church located at 1915 FM 1960.  Graveside will be held in Mineral Wells Tx. On October 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Staggs Prairie Cemetery on FM 1821 North.
