Lewis Alvin Whitmire, 73, was born January 3, 1946, in Cleveland, Texas. He passed away on December 12, 2019 in Porter, Texas.Lewis is preceded in death by his parents; Melvin Whitmire and Beula Buckalew and daughter; Olina Lucast. He is survived by his wife of 25 years; Carol Sue Whitmire, son; Lewis Alvin Whitmire Jr, daughters; Kim Steinecke, Penny Pate and Ada Whitmire, brothers; Bean, Ray, Deedee and Auther Whitmire, sisters; Odessa and Hazel, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Thursday December 19, 2019, at Rios Funeral Directors 21036 Loop 494, New Caney, Texas 77357. Service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 11am at Rios Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Morgan Cemetery 23311 Morgan Cemetery Rd, Splendora, TX 77372.
