Mary Helen Corona

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Helen Corona, 69, on February 16, 2025. Born in Houston, Texas, on August 5, 1955, she was the beloved daughter of Domingo Corey and Monica Corey. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Corey Cruz.

Mary dedicated many years of her life to the Aldine Independent School District, where she retired in 2019. Her family was the center of her world, and she found the greatest joy in spending time with them. Mary cherished moments spent in her kitchen, cooking and creating a warm environment for all who entered. She enjoyed watching movies and listening to music, always with the radio playing her favorite tunes. Her love for animals was boundless, but it was her unwavering devotion to her family that defined her life. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Mary opened her heart and home to anyone in need, offering comfort and support without hesitation. Her love for her children and family was immeasurable.

Mary is survived by her sons Richard (and wife Nancy) Corona, Floyd (and wife Krystal) Cruz, Eli Cruz, and her daughter Andrea Cruz. She was also a loving grandmother to her six grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary, Chloe, Sophia, Faith, and Jaxon. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness, generosity, and love will be remembered by all who were touched by her.
