Richard Dewayne Kay

Richard Dewayne Kay (60) was born on August 23, 1963 in Houston, Texas and passed away on October 26, 2023 in his Porter, TX home surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his daughter Tracey Kay, his father Richard Kay, his mother Jeanne Koehler & husband Butch.

Richard is survived by his wife, Michelle Kay and children; Son, Dennis Townsend. Daughters; Brandi Cropper, husband Trey, Rachael McIntyre, husband Patrick, and Ashley Townsend, boyfriend Zachary Shaw. Brothers; Kendle Kay, wife Karrie,  and Frank Kay, wife Sherry and sister, Audra Michelle, and eleven grandchildren; Shelby, Richard, Kenlee, Jacob, Josh, Jadyn, Kynslee, JoJo, Silas, Lily, and Ellieah. Numerous nieces and nephews, family & friends.

Dewayne’s saying was “Always put God first, then family & friends.”  He loved God with all his heart and shared God with family, friends & many strangers.  He was for sure a messenger from God.  Dewayne was a big kid at heart, loved to make jokes and make people laugh.  He lived each day to the fullest, it could be a motorcycle ride, boating with the family, out mudding with the family or even sitting around a campfire with the family.  He was always thinking of something he can do with the family to make memories. Dewayne has a very big heart and always thought of others first before himself. He always had a desire to help others or just to make them smile. Dewayne will be loved & missed by so many.
