Robin Dyane Schupp

Robin Dyane Bates-Schupp was born September 19, 1965 in Houston to Harold D Bates and Wilma Jones Bates. She was 57 years old when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 23, 2023.

Robin was married to her life partner and love of her life for 25 years, James E Newman.

Robin graduated from New Caney High School in 1983 and attended Angelina College in Lufkin, Tx. She worked in Behavioral Management Health Services; this was by far her favorite job and calling. Robin enjoyed traveling and seeing new things. She lived in Houston, New Caney, Porter, Austin, Ohio, Portland, Or and Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harold D Bates and mother, Wilma Jones Bates. Infant Sister, Karen Bates, 1^st Husband Edward Schupp, and nephew Michael Gomez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving Husband James E Newman; brother Stephen Boyce and wife Shari; brother Michael Bates; sister by choice Sarah Schupp; niece Stephanie Edwards and husband Justin; nephew Matthew Boyce and wife Jordan; niece Chelsea Guynes and husband Jance; nephew Richard Gomez; nephew Christopher Schupp and wife Amanda; her great nieces and nephew, Aubrey, Madilyn, Olivia, Adia, Aria, Stony and Emerson.  And a host of extended family and friends.

A special thank you to Robins friends Wendy, Carolyn, Mika, and Shiela who so graciously provided her comfort and care during her time of need.

Robin will always and forever be remembered for her love and acceptance for everyone she met, as well as for her beautiful smile, sense of humor and her love of dancing! Never a stranger, always a best friend from the beginning.
