Rosa Marie Rener

Rose Marie Rener, born on August 24, 1951, was the oldest daughter born  to the union of Harold Rener and Odessa Guy Rener.  She and her siblings were reared in Jeanerette, LA.  There, they were encouraged to and faithfully attended church and Sunday School.

Rose Marie was baptized at an early age at Mt. Calvary B. C. by Rev. H. A. Hills and the family continues to attend Mt. Calvary today.  She was an active member singing in the Choir and serving the church  in any capacity needed until she was no longer able to do so.

She attended school in St. Mary Parish and was a 1969 graduate of Park Avenue High School.  After graduation she  married and became a devoted mother and homemaker for her family.  Rose later worked as a CNA at Iberia Manor.  Socially, she was a  loyal member of Lucinda Pierre Order of Eastern Star attending meetings on the local and state level.

Rose was a quiet, humble young lady who enjoyed being around friends and family.  One of her passions was making candy.  She loved being around her grandchildren telling funny stories and making them laugh.

On Tuesday, March 21, Rose answered the Master’s call and moved to her heavenly home.  She now joins in glory her husband Alvin Gasper; parents, Harold, Sr. and Odessa Guy Rener; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Rosa Rener and maternal grandparents, Henry and Christine W. Guy; daughter, Adrienne Gasper; siblings, Henry Lee Rener, Sadie Rener, Lawrence Rener and Christine Rener; nephew Durall Alexander; niece, Mariah Francis and her godchild, Rogernick Rener.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, LeShequa Gasper Bowles (Terry) of Porter, TX and her son Gerald Broussard, Jr. (TaShika) of Spring, TX; special daughter Deanna Lutcher; her grandchildren Deondrick Bowles of Houston, TX, Tyler Bowles of Tyler, TX; Tia Bowles of Porter, TX, Destiny Broussard of Spring, TX, Gerald Broussard, III of Baton Rouge, LA, Sky and Kane Broussard of Spring, TX; four siblings, Harold Rener, Jr. (Mercelene), Carl Rener, Sr. (Cynthia) and Cynthia R.
