Roy Earl Sempe

Roy Earl Sempe, 74, was born on June 22, 1948 in Houston, Texas and passed away on June 9, 2023 in Kingwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents William Henry Sempe Sr. and Melvena Frances Sempe, his wife of 45 years Cheryl Anne Sempe and daughter Athena Marie Sempe.

Roy is survived by his daughter Stephanie Hays and her husband Richard Hays, his siblings William Henry Sempe Jr., Harold Sempe, Johnny Sempe and Cindy Lowe. Roy had seven grandchildren: Katie West, Brisa Pond, Collin Sempe, Taylor Sempe, Eric Hays, Emily Hays, and Elysa Hays. Roy also had fourteen great-grandchildren.

In 1962 Roy was inducted into the Order of the Arrow and in 1965 became a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow. Roy was also a charter member of the Texas Gulf Coast Tia Piah Society that was founded in 1976.
